After his first Bundesliga goal in his third appearance, Werder Bremen's sporting directors have not held back in their praise for young attacker Salim Musah. "We have a lot of faith in him. He has an enormous amount of quality, is very, very talented and is also someone who has absolutely top character," said professional soccer managing director Clemens Fritz after the 2-1 defeat to RB Leipzig.
The 20-year-old, who trained in Bremen's youth academy, scored the equalizer in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The young professional from Oldenburg, who only came on as a substitute in the 76th minute, also missed two further chances to score and breathed new life into Werder's attack, which was particularly weak in the second half.
