The BSV Sachsen Zwickau women's handball team missed out on two important bonus points in the battle to stay in the Bundesliga. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges lost the goal festival at seventh-placed TuS Metzingen by 36:37 (18:16) on Saturday and are now just one point ahead of a relegation place after their twelfth defeat of the season. Dagmara Nocun (10) and Jana Scheib (9/3) played the biggest part in the hosts' narrow success. Rita Lakatos (9), Laura Szabo (7) and Ema Hrvatin (7/2) scored the most for Zwickau.
The visitors never trailed before the break and led 16:13 after 24 minutes. Zwickau extended that lead to 24:19 in the 36th minute. However, Metzingen turned the encounter around with a 6:0 run to make it 25:24 in the space of just six minutes. Zwickau then chased the deficit in vain and was unable to pull back in front.
