The SV Union Halle-Neustadt women's Bundesliga handball team clearly lost their first away game this season. The charges of coach Till Wiechers conceded a clear 26:39 (9:18) defeat at HSG Blomberg-Lippe. Laura Rüffieux (7), Laetitia Quist (5) and Ona Vegue Pena (5/2) played the biggest part in the hosts' success. For Halle Lilli Röpcke (4) scored the most goals.

The Hallenserinnen went down in the attacking whirl of the opponent in the opening quarter hour. Only a single goal succeeded the SV Union, which fell with 1:10 (16.) hopelessly behind. Again and again, the players from Halle failed to score against HSG's outstanding goalkeeper Melanie Veith. In addition, there were some technical mistakes in this phase. Blomberg never got into trouble after that and could even extend the lead after the change of ends via 26:13 (40th) to 37:22 (56th).
