Dynamo Dresden won its only friendly match at the training camp in Windischgarsten, Austria, thanks to a strong performance. Against Austrian first-division club Grazer AK, the final score after two 60-minute halves was 5–0 (2–0).
In front of 700 spectators, the goals for the Saxons in the first half were scored by Jonas Sterner (28th minute) following a spectacular play and by young player Niklas Remus (60th minute) on a rebound. After the break, Niklas Hauptmann (96th), Robert Wagner (109th), and Alexander Rossipal (118th) found the back of the net.
The Dresden team played strongly for long stretches, keeping the ball moving and putting pressure on their opponents, but failed to convert some clear-cut chances into additional goals. It wasn’t until the closing stages that the Saxons truly overran their opponents in terms of the score as well. Coach Thomas Stamm made a complete lineup change in the second hour. Ben Bobzien, who had only been signed on Thursday, also saw action in the first half.
