SC Paderborn turn around an interval deficit against Dynamo Dresden. Joker Steffen Tigges scores both goals and provides a special reward. Dresden misses the next chance to break the deadlock.

SC Paderborn remain a hot promotion candidate in the 2nd Bundesliga thanks to a brace from joker Steffen Tigges. The East Westphalians defeated Dynamo Dresden 2:1 (0:1) after trailing at half-time, are unbeaten in seven games and continue to dream of a third Bundesliga promotion after 2014 and 2019. Dresden conceded their second defeat of the second half of the season and missed out on a further escape in the relegation battle.

The visitors, who were more powerful at the start, initially had the better chances to score and deservedly took the lead through a header from Vincent Vermeij (32nd minute). It was Vermeij's seventh goal of the season. However, Dresden failed to score the decisive second goal after the break. First Ben Bobzien only hit the crossbar (54'), then Christoph Daferner failed to beat Paderborn goalkeeper Dennis Seimen (63'). Shortly afterwards, substitute Tigges made it 1-1 (66') and scored the winner again with a header in the closing stages (85').
