In the ranks of the Saxon police, 15 new suspected cases of right-wing extremism came to light last year. The Ministry of the Interior had already reported nine of these in the summer of 2025, with six more added in the second half of the year, according to an overview provided by the ministry. State parliament member Juliane Nagel (Left Party) regularly asks about this in parliament and calls on the Ministry of the Interior to remain transparent.
Left-wingers insist on further transparency
After the most recent inquiry, Nagel suspected that the issue was no longer a priority for the police. The MP criticized the fact that the Ministry of the Interior had moved away from the previously regular half-yearly reports. "Irritating: all previously published reports have been secretly deleted from the official website. This is the opposite of the transparency promised in the official mission statement of the Saxon police force."
