The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance in Saxony is hosting its state party convention in Leipzig on September 26 and will welcome federal party chair Amira Mohamed Ali. According to the party, federal Secretary-General Oliver Ruhnert, former Saxony state chair Sabine Zimmermann, and BSW party chair in Saxony-Anhalt, Claudia Wittig, will also be in attendance. The main focus will be on the current political situation. The BSW managed to win seats in the state parliament during the state election in Saxony-Anhalt. Now, the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance intends to hold talks with the election winner, the AfD, regarding a possible collaboration. One of the panel discussions at the party convention in Leipzig will address the topics of freedom of expression, social cohesion, firewalls, tolerance, and compromise.
