BUND criticizes Harley-Davidson meeting because of noise and exhaust gas

The Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) has criticized the Harley-Davidson meeting this weekend in Dresden. While one has to fight also in Dresden with successive heat summers, an event with high exhaust gas loads seems "as if from the time fallen", explained the Dresden BUND vice Daniel Blume on Wednesday. The old motorcycles as historical cultural property also times are moved, is understandable. With the "Harley Days" it does not go however around an exit under friends, but around a commercial meeting with thousands motorcycles in an overheated city, in which air pollutants are anyway an everyday problem.

In addition the meeting strikes in a time, in which the citizenry is requested to the energy saving and a mobility turn is urgently necessary, the wrong tones, stressed Blume. What was needed was a smaller event with less noise and air pollution for people and animals.
