In order to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in the areas of recruiting skilled workers and education, Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer (CDU) is traveling to Cairo. According to the State Chancellery, the visit is planned from Tuesday to Thursday next week. Kretschmer will be accompanied by Heike Graßmann, State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism, as well as a business and science delegation.
The Minister President will give a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the Saxony Egypt University for Applied Science and Technology (SEU). Recruiting skilled workers is the topic of a visit to the Egyptian-German Center for Work, Migration and Reintegration. The program also includes talks with high-ranking Egyptian political representatives.
