Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is coming to Hoyerswerda today (from 11.00). He wants to pay tribute to the Kulturfabrik Hoyerswerda association as a "place of encounter" for social interaction. As the city's socio-cultural center, the Kulturfabrik is a supporting pillar for civic engagement, participation and the promotion of democracy, it was said in advance.
During his visit, Steinmeier also wants to talk to politically engaged young people, get to know the association's repair workshop and discuss volunteering and the future prospects of the people of Hoyerswerda. Later, he will take part in an audience event organized by Deutschlandradio's "Denkfabrik". The theme of the series is "Doing instead of complaining! What happens when everyone pitches in...".
