Great lottery luck: In the Eurojackpot lottery, four million euros each go to North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Saxony - twice. This was announced by Westlotto in the evening after the draw in Helsinki. The four million euros each were paid out in prize class 2 - to players who correctly picked all the winning numbers plus one of the two Euro numbers. It is still unclear whether these are individual players or lottery syndicates.
120 million go to the Czech Republic
A few million more go to the Czech Republic: A lottery player or lottery syndicate there correctly picked all the winning numbers and both Euro numbers - and thus hit the Eurojackpot. With the winning numbers 5, 11, 23, 33, 42 and the two Euro numbers 10 and 12, it was the first time that someone was completely right again after 13 draws without a main prize.
The probability of winning the Eurojackpot is 1 in 140 million. Experts point out that gambling can be addictive.
