Rapper Trettmann has announced a new album. He’s been carrying the idea for the album, titled “Stadt aus Gold” (City of Gold), around with him for a long time, the Chemnitz native (“Grauer Beton”) wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “It feels like I’ve been writing these songs for half my life. I’ve been recording them over the past two years.” At the same time, the 52-year-old announced a tour for next year. His previous album, “Insomnia,” was released in 2023. In another post, he also teased the first single: “Waiting for the drop… ‘Stadt aus Gold’ on Friday?” he wrote. According to the tour promoter, the new album musically spans “dancehall, reggae, trap, Afrobeat, and triple step.” The sixth album by “Tretti,” as his fans call him, is set to be released on January 22, 2027.
