More than 2,000 readings, 300 locations, one goal: to connect stories. What literary surprises await visitors in Leipzig?

From Daniela Katzenberger to Heinz Strunk and Alice Schwarzer: Authors will be presenting themselves at around 2,000 events at the Leipzig Book Fair reading festival "Leipzig liest" from March 19 to 22, as announced by the Leipzig Book Fair. Under the motto "Where stories connect us", a literary look at life from many different perspectives will be illuminated at more than 300 reading locations.

The program of the Leipzig Book Fair 2026 and "Leipzig reads" sparkles with humor and suspense, makes hearts tremble and gives creepy shivers and faces the social challenges of the present, it continued. Many highlights, names and dates have already been determined, and the program with all authors will be published online on 19 February.
