The actor and author Sky du Mont can take a lot of positives from small moments. "To say that everything is rosy would be nonsense," said the 76-year-old on Friday during the Leipzig Book Fair. "But I'm looking forward to things."
At the presentation of his latest book "Ich freu mich schon auf morgen. Because it will be like it never was before", du Mont also had an example ready: "Tomorrow I'll be home alone. I'll buy myself an almond croissant, grab a cup of coffee, turn on the TV and watch soccer."
He has learned a lot from mistakes and defeats, said the author, who has been divorced four times and lives in Hamburg. For example: "The self-awareness that success has nothing to do with quality is important." With age, he has discovered the freedom to do what he wants. When writing, he is alone and can build his own world.
