The large permanent exhibition at Königstein Fortress in Saxon Switzerland will be extensively cleaned in January and will therefore be temporarily closed. From January 7 to 30 inclusive, the exhibition "In lapide regis - On the King's Stone" will not be accessible, as the fortress announced.
For visitors, the excursion could still be worthwhile: During the revision, the reduced admission price of ten euros applies to all adults, while children and young people up to the age of 16 are admitted free of charge. The extensive permanent exhibition with around 500 exhibits is overhauled once a year, including the maintenance of display cases, floors, air conditioning and media technology.
