Interested parties have until the end of the month to apply for a funded German-language medical study place in Hungary. According to the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KV) Saxony, up to 40 places will once again be allocated for the upcoming 2026/27 intake of the "Studying in Europe - Future in Saxony" pilot project.
The project is aimed at high school graduates with an average grade of at least 2.6 or 9 points who have not been offered a place at university in Germany. Since 2013, they have had the opportunity to study human medicine at the University of Pécs. The tuition fees of 7,500 euros per semester are covered for the standard period of study of six years. Half of the costs are covered by the KV Saxony and the health insurance companies and the other half by the Ministry of Health.
