After the break, the Fichtelbergbahn is running again - even with special trips and an invitation to an egg hunt for families at Easter.

After being closed for several weeks in March, the Fichtelberg Railway ran special trains over the Easter weekend. On Sunday, a special treat awaited families: Easter bunny "Maxi Möhre" was to be on board and invite the little passengers to an egg hunt, as announced by the Saxon Steam Railway Company (SDG).

The Fichtelberg Railway was closed from March 9 to 27. This was in preparation for the excursion season. Since March 28, the steam trains between Oberwiesenthal and Cranzahl have been running continuously again. Last year, the narrow-gauge railroad recorded around 217,000 passengers.

According to SDG, there will be further restrictions after the Easter vacations. From April 13 to 24, the Fichtelbergbahn line will be closed for planned work on the track and vehicles.
