A player from Saxony has won millions in the Eurojackpot lottery. As announced by the Saxon lottery company, the player won more than 1.6 million euros in the second-highest prize category on Friday.
The Saxon and a second winner from North Rhine-Westphalia were just one lucky number short of hitting the jackpot, which is filled with more than 100 million euros. The Eurojackpot will rise to 110 million euros for the next draw on Tuesday.
In Saxony, this is the second million-euro win of the year. In March, a lottery player from the Erzgebirge region won more than 1.1 million euros.
