An extraordinary sea of flowers in Dresden: from Thursday, the trade fair in the state capital is hosting what it claims to be the world's largest orchid show. Over 100 breeders and nurseries from five continents will be presenting rare botanical species, hybrids and themed plant displays at the "Dresden Easter" public fair, according to the organizers.
In addition to the exhibition, which will fill an entire hall, there will also be a sales area where visitors can purchase the nurseries' varieties. The organizers are expecting over 50,000 visitors from 26 to 29 March. The World Orchid Conference will take place at the same time, bringing together over 650 experts from more than 40 countries in Dresden.
