The search for the host of the 2032 State Garden Show has begun. Saxon municipalities can submit their applications by the end of October, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. The Free State of Saxony is offering up to five million euros in grants for investments and the organization of the 12th State Garden Show.
These shows have a long tradition in Saxony, explained Agriculture Minister Georg-Ludwig von Breitenbuch (CDU) in a statement. “They support sustainable urban development, have a positive impact on residents’ quality of life, improve the urban environment, and promote biodiversity.” A State Garden Show would also open up new opportunities for the local economy and tourism.
Next year’s host will be Aue-Bad Schlema. The city in the Ore Mountains will welcome guests from April 24 to October 3, 2027, under the motto “From the Wismut Mine to a Blossoming Splendor.” Some 400,000 visitors are expected. Auerbach has already been confirmed as the host for 2029.
