Lottery Jackpot Won: Man from Leipzig Becomes a Multimillionaire

Leipzig has one more multimillionaire. A player from the trade fair city was the only participant nationwide to hit the jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing, according to Sächsische Lotto-GmbH. With “six correct numbers” and the correct bonus number, the prize totaled exactly 10,935,816.40 euros.

“10.9 million euros is a special win. It will allow the new multimillionaire to turn wishes and plans into reality—ones he may have only dreamed of before,” said Frank Schwarz, managing director of Sächsische Lotto-GmbH. This was the third-highest million-euro prize ever won in the Sachsenlotto. In December 2018, 15.5 million euros went to the Erzgebirgskreis district, and two years later, 15.1 million euros went to Dresden. There are now a total of 185 Sachsenlotto millionaires.
