A new factory for solar modules has started production in Zwenkau (Leipzig district). From now on, modules for vehicles will be manufactured in the 12,000 square meter hall. This will create 120 jobs, according to the company Opes Solar Mobility. The investment sum was not disclosed on request.
The special modules are particularly resistant to the vibrations and shocks that occur in vehicles. "This means that photovoltaics can be integrated into commercial vehicles worldwide," said Managing Director Robert Händel. Customers are vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to the automotive industry.
