Magdeburg (dpa/sa) -After dangerous driving maneuvers on several freeways, the police have stopped a driver near Magdeburg. According to the police, the 42-year-old had attracted attention on Friday on the A72 in Saxony due to risky driving maneuvers. Road users on the A14 towards Schwerin also reported that the driver had overtaken them and then braked abruptly. However, no one was injured.
The police were finally able to stop the man at the Magdeburg-Stadtfeld junction. As he resisted and behaved aggressively, he was taken to a hospital in Magdeburg. He was then admitted to a psychiatric clinic.
Several proceedings were initiated against the driver, including for dangerous interference with road traffic, coercion and resisting law enforcement officers.
