An intoxicated young novice driver has been caught by police drifting in a parking lot in Meerane in the Zwickau district. When the officers wanted to check the 19-year-old, he fled briefly but then stopped, according to the police.
The young man's alcohol level was measured at 0.88 per mille. In addition, a drug test reacted positively to cannabis. The novice driver was still on probation. Drifting is an attempt to cause the rear of a vehicle to break away while still maintaining control of the car.
