The electronics manufacturer Technisat is closing its plant in Vogtland and relocating production to Poland. As a result, 70 people will lose their jobs by the end of the year. The company, based in Rhineland-Palatinate, justified the move in a press release with high energy and rising personnel costs as well as "complex regulatory requirements". These conditions make it difficult for medium-sized companies in particular to maintain production sites in Germany economically. The "Freie Presse" had previously reported on the move.
