The fourth round of negotiations brought a breakthrough in the collective bargaining for employees at the DHL hub at Leipzig/Halle Airport. An agreement has now been reached.

The employees at the DHL freight hub in Leipzig will receive significantly higher wages. In a ballot, 88 percent of members voted in favor of accepting the wage agreement reached at the end of July, according to the Verdi trade union.

In a first step, wages will be increased by 5.6 percent retroactively from July 1. A second increase of a further 5.4 percent will take place from July 1, 2026. There had been repeated warning strikes for months.
