Workers in Saxony can once again afford more with their income. From April through the end of June, the average real wage rose by 1.8 percent compared with the same period last year, according to the State Statistical Office. The inflation-adjusted wage increase stems from the fact that nominal wages, at 4.5 percent, once again rose more sharply than consumer prices, which rose by 2.7 percent. According to statisticians, this continues the trend of rising real wages in Saxony that has been in place since the second quarter of 2023. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
