How can dangerous drones be better detected and defended against? A new research center for drone safety will open in Saxony-Anhalt on Tuesday (10:30 a.m.). At the German Aerospace Center (DLR) site in Cochstedt in the Salzlandkreis district, new technologies will be developed and tested under realistic conditions.
Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU), Federal Research Minister Dorothee Bär (CSU), and Saxony-Anhalt’s Minister-President Sven Schulze (CDU) are expected to attend the opening. According to those involved, this facility—in collaboration with the DLR site in Braunschweig—will be the only one of its kind in Germany.
