There are delays and cancellations on the railroad line between Hanover and Leipzig. The reason for this is a defective switch near Braunschweig.

Train services between Hanover and Leipzig are disrupted due to a fault at a switch near Braunschweig. IC connections in both directions are affected, Deutsche Bahn announced. Trains are therefore canceled or rerouted.

The stops in Braunschweig, Helmstedt and Magdeburg are completely unavailable. According to Deutsche Bahn, the repair work is expected to continue until the afternoon.
