A 44-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Mockrehna (North Saxony district). The man was flown to a hospital by rescue helicopter, according to police.
The man was riding through the Wildschütz neighborhood on Friday afternoon when, for reasons that remain unclear, he veered off the road to the right while navigating a left-hand curve and crashed into a tree.
The extent of the property damage was initially unclear. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
