After the rampage through Leipzig, the flags in Saxony are flying at half-mast. Minister President Kretschmer expresses his sympathy to the families of the victims.

Saxony's state government has ordered public buildings to fly flags of mourning in memory of the victims of the rampage in Leipzig city center. According to the state chancellery in Dresden, the flags are to be flown at half-mast on all buildings belonging to authorities and offices of the Free State. Previously, the city of Leipzig had already flown the flags at half-mast in front of the New City Hall in the city center, just a few hundred meters from the scene of the crime.

Saxony's head of government Michael Kretschmer (CDU) expressed his sympathy for those affected and wished the injured a speedy recovery. "Our sympathies go out to the families and relatives of the victims. Our thoughts are with them and all those affected by this terrible event," said the Minister President.
