Irregularities are discovered in the water during construction work on the Zeppelin Bridge in Leipzig. It is now to be investigated whether these are explosive ordnance.

Following a possible discovery of explosive ordnance in the Elster basin below the Zeppelin Bridge, a restricted area will be set up in Leipzig from 8 am. According to the city, this will be 100 meters around the site of the discovery and is expected to last until 4 pm.

Footpaths and cycle paths in this area cannot be used during this time. In addition, the Sportforum Süd stop cannot be served. According to Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe, streetcar lines 3, 7, 8 and 15 will therefore be diverted via Westplatz, Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße and Felsenkeller. Once the exclusion zone has been lifted, however, the affected streetcars will run again.
