A brush fire has caused the A72 to be closed. The highway is completely closed in the direction of Hof between the Penig and Rochlitz interchanges (Mittelsachsen district), according to a statement released by the Chemnitz police this afternoon. According to the report, the fire broke out around 2:00 p.m. Emergency responders are on the scene and are extinguishing the fire, officials said.
