Two men veered off the road near Bad Muskau (Görlitz district) and ended up in the Neisse River. The 53-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries on Saturday evening, according to police. According to police, the 45-year-old driver registered a blood alcohol level of 1.6 per mille on a breathalyzer test. He was uninjured.
The two men crashed through a wildlife fence with their car, drove across the riverside meadow, and ended up in the river. Both swam to shore. The damage is estimated at 15,000 euros.
