In Oberlungwitz in the district of Zwickau, a 17-year-old was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Friday evening. According to the police, the teenager was driving a moped when he left the road and collided with an oncoming car in the opposite lane.
The 17-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured. The damage to property is estimated at around 13,000 euros.
A moped car is a small vehicle that usually carries two people. It can be driven with a moped driver's license and usually only goes up to 45 km/h.
