The connection from Dresden Airport to Munich will be maintained in the coming years. Lufthansa has reached an agreement to this effect with Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the airport company. "This is an important signal for the region and the result of constructive cooperation between the Lufthansa Group, the Saxon state government and Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG," CEO Götz Ahmelmann told the newspapers. At the end of October, he had warned that the route would be canceled. Due to high location costs in Germany, it was being put to the test, Ahmelmann said at the time.
