After losing the third division relegation once again, Lok Leipzig coach Jochen Seitz has resigned. The regional soccer league club made the announcement one day after the 2-1 defeat at Würzburger Kickers. Seitz took over Lok in the summer of 2024 and led the club to two consecutive championships. The club then lost the relegation play-offs against Havelse and Würzburg and remained in the fourth division.
Seitz did not give any reasons for his resignation in the club's announcement. He would communicate these in the next few days. For the time being, Seitz also does not want to take over a coaching position at any other club, it said.
