Sachsenring specialist Marc Márquez won the Sprint at the German Grand Prix, thereby cementing his status as the favorite for the main race. The motorcycle world champion from Spain narrowed the gap to overall leader Jorge Martín to 32 points. Behind the 33-year-old, who is aiming for his tenth MotoGP victory at the Sachsenring on Sunday (2:00 p.m.), his Ducati teammates Álex Márquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio finished in second and third place.
World Championship runner-up Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia). After Ducati rider Fermín Aldeguer and Honda rider Johann Zarco were unable to compete at all due to injuries, the Italian crashed heavily during the morning qualifying session and suffered a broken collarbone.
