History repeats itself. Exactly one year ago, Dynamo Dresden lost at SV Waldhof Mannheim on the penultimate matchday of the 3rd division. And celebrated the defeat like a victory, because the competition for promotion to the third division played along and the Dresdeners climbed into the elevator to the 2nd Bundesliga.
Twelve months later, a similar scenario: Dynamo lost 2-1 at Eintracht Braunschweig, but SpVgg Greuther Fürth were also defeated at Hertha BSC. Dresden have already avoided direct relegation one matchday before the end of the season.
Now they have to get at least one point against Holstein Kiel on the final matchday on Sunday (3.30 pm/Sky) to avoid having to go into the relegation play-offs.
