Hydrogen is seen as a key to the energy transition and Chemnitz is at the forefront of these developments. A Master's degree course on the subject will be starting soon.

The Chemnitz University of Technology (TU) is launching Germany's first Master's degree course in hydrogen technologies from the coming winter semester. The course will provide in-depth knowledge of hydrogen and its production, transportation and usage options, as announced by the TU.

The prerequisite for this Master's course, which usually begins in the winter semester, is a Bachelor's degree from Chemnitz University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or a professionally qualifying university degree in a course of study with equivalent content.

Chemnitz is one of only four locations of the national hydrogen center in Germany. Through the HZwo innovation cluster, in which Chemnitz University of Technology is involved, there is a direct link to more than 150 companies and research institutions worldwide, the statement continued.
