Final exams are coming up for 21,100 secondary school pupils in Saxony. Minister of Education Christian Piwarz wishes them every success.

The last day of school is approaching for a good 21,100 secondary school pupils and special needs pupils in Saxony. They begin their final exams this Wednesday, the Ministry of Education announced in Dresden on Monday. It starts with English. 17,348 pupils are aiming for a Realschule certificate, 3789 for a Hauptschule certificate. Realschule students will take a total of four written and one oral exam. The oral examinations will take place between May 13 and June 12, 2024, with the schools setting the dates themselves. The certificates are to be presented in mid-June.

Minister of Education Christian Piwarz (CDU) wants to keep his fingers crossed for the girls and boys and wishes them every success in advance. "Graduation is within reach. Now it's important to keep your nerve so that what you've learned can be called upon." He also thanked the teachers. Last year, the Conference of Education Ministers decided that there would no longer be a coronavirus bonus. The current year was able to be taught entirely face-to-face again.
