The fire department in Dresden was called out to an animal rescue operation. Children had heard loud meowing coming from a company premises and alerted adults. On site, it turned out that a cat had slipped into a narrow gap between a large metal container and a 2.50-metre-high concrete wall, the fire department said. The rescue on Thursday was difficult: The cat was only able to wriggle out when the container could be lifted slightly with a wheel loader that had been brought in especially for this purpose. The animal was apparently unharmed - it immediately took flight after being freed. Copyright 2025, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
