The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau are up to their necks in the fight to stay in the Bundesliga. Coach Norman Rentsch's charges lost 20:33 (7:16) at HSG Blomberg on Saturday and remain in a relegation place after their eleventh defeat of the season. Nieke Kühne (8 goals), Judith Tietjen (5) and Ona Vegue Pena (5/1) played the biggest part in the hosts' success. Emma Montag (5) and Laura Szabo (4) scored the most goals for the team from Saxony.
The visitors were already on the losing side in the opening quarter of an hour. Blomberg quickly opened up a 9:2 lead (14') and so had already made a preliminary decision in this game. Shortly after the restart, Blomberg was ahead by ten goals for the first time at 17:7 (31'). The visitors made too many mistakes to make the result more comfortable.
