Junior teams from Aue and Zwickau face each other on the pitch. There is trouble in the stands - the match does not end in regulation.

The B-Junior championship match between Erzgebirge Aue and FSV Zwickau was abandoned after spectators rioted. In the twelfth minute there were assaults in the visitors' area. The police are currently investigating the perpetrators and victims. The measures are still ongoing, said a police spokesperson.

The host club FC Erzgebirge has already apologized for the incidents and strongly condemns the attacks "regardless of the previous provocations". The club wishes those affected a speedy recovery.

The assaults took place despite the club having deployed more security personnel than usual at youth matches by prior arrangement. As security could not be guaranteed, the referee immediately called off the matchday 23 make-up game, as Aue announced.
