RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose is taking the discussions surrounding his future in his stride. "If the topic of Marco Rose is raised for months, then it can only be influenced by results. I know that too," said the 48-year-old. "I don't take it personally, that's normal. The best answer would be a win in Freiburg, then we'd have a few days' peace."
Leipzig face SC Freiburg on Saturday (18:30/Sky) in the top match of the Bundesliga. If the Saxons fail to win, it could reportedly lead to an early separation. Rose's contract at RB is still valid until mid-2026. Leipzig won just one of seven games in the second half of the season.
In preparation for the game, which will be crucial for him, Rose took an unusual measure and went to a short training camp in Salzburg. "If you soak up the atmosphere of the past two days, then it was a good decision," said Rose. In terms of personnel, the coach can call on the entire squad apart from the long-term injuries.
