Enzo Millot will replace the injured international footballer Angelo Stiller for VfB Stuttgart in the final Bundesliga game of the season at RB Leipzig. "He'll be the one," revealed coach Sebastian Hoeneß ahead of the away game on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky). Midfield strategist Stiller suffered a ligament injury in the 4-0 defeat to FC Augsburg following a foul. Even an appearance in the DFB Cup final against Arminia Bielefeld on May 24 is on the cards.
"He's taken off his crutches and is taking his steps. But it's far too early to make a prognosis. Nothing should be interpreted in any way. If there's a chance, then we'll take it," said Hoeneß with a view to the final in Berlin.
Millot "an important player"
Yannik Keitel will also miss the clash with the Saxons, who are still in contention to qualify for the European Cup, with a bruised thigh, as will Ameen al-Dakhil (muscular problems). Finn Jeltsch, who also has an injury, could be just enough for Leipzig.
Hoeneß is not yet in a position to judge whether Stiller's replacement Millot is on a farewell tour. "I'm in contact with him, and always have been," said Hoeneß about the France U21 international, who has been linked with clubs abroad. "We'll have to see what happens in the summer break. He's an important player for us."
