Timo Werner will not return to the national soccer team for the time being, even under his former coach Julian Nagelsmann. The striker was not nominated on Friday by the new national coach for the international matches in the United States. His predecessor Hansi Flick had already recently dispensed with Werner due to his lack of form. The 27-year-old was also recently set back by back problems and missed two competitive matches.
From Leipzig's point of view, only left-back David Raum will go on the trip. Benjamin Henrichs, who had already missed the game against Manchester City due to a muscle injury, is also out for the DFB with the complaints. Lukas Klostermann also remains at Cottaweg for the international break.
