The Bundesliga handball players of Thüringer HC have confidently reached the semi-finals of the DHB Cup. The team of Head Coach Herbert Müller won the quarter-final duel at second-division club VfL Waiblingen by a clear 37:26 (19:12) to book its place in the Final Four in Stuttgart (March 14/15, 2026). Left wing Anna Szabo was the THC's best scorer with six goals.
The club from Thuringia dominated the game from the outset with a high tempo and led 8:3 after just eight minutes. Although the THC let a few lapses creep in as a result, the home side was too prone to mistakes to capitalize on them in the long term. The visitors were comfortably ahead at the break.
The second-division club never gave up, but was unable to get within striking distance after the break. THC kept their concentration high and extended their lead in the final phase.
