Despite a poor international season so far, Marco Rose is looking forward to the clash with Inter. "We play Champions League in Milan tomorrow. If we're not emotional about it and not looking forward to it, then it's our own fault. We need a top performance, we have to believe in ourselves," said the RB Leipzig soccer coach ahead of this Tuesday's game (21:00/DAZN) in San Siro.
He takes a "very differentiated view", added the 48-year-old, "because we are all not satisfied with the results we are currently delivering and what we are bringing to the pitch in some cases." He knew that his team could do better and wanted to do better than they had shown recently.
First crisis in Leipzig
But, according to the coach, "a bit of patience is also needed. This is my third year in Leipzig. It's the first time we can talk about a crisis after not winning four games. I am also convinced that we will work our way out of it together."
Rose's fellow coach Inzaghi is apparently of the same opinion: "Leipzig have great quality. The team shows a recognizable style, the coach has been doing it well for years," praised the 48-year-old Inter coach: "I already met him during his time in Salzburg. They are well organized. The table doesn't really reflect how Leipzig have performed so far."
