The handball players of BSV Sachsen Zwickau have conceded their fifth defeat in a row and are once again in danger of relegation in the Bundesliga. The team of coach Norman Rentsch lost the game at HSG Blomberg-Lippe by 20:31 (10:12). Blanka Kajdon was the best scorer for the club from western Saxony with five goals. Ona Vegue Pena scored eleven goals for Blomberg.
For one half, it was a game of equals. BSV did not allow the home side to pull away by more than three goals. That changed in the second half. Zwickau completely fell apart there. Zwickau went nine minutes without scoring between the 35th and 44th minute and were hopelessly eleven goals behind. In the final quarter of an hour, the visitors managed to catch up a little, but could not get any closer.
